Can't put the version UNDER TEST

I don't know how to set the Aware Im server to higher value?

To set Aware IM to a higher value manually you can adjust the following line in the /bin/startAwareIM.bat file

start %JAVA_HOME%\bin\javaw -Xmx192m -Xms20m -cp %CLASSPATH% com.bas.controlcenter.ControlCenterApp

Some earlier posts on server memory settings:
Memory for the Server Process>

1) Tomcat memory should be increased if you have many concurrent users
2) JBoss memory should be increased if you transfer large chunks of data between client and server - such as large documents and/or pictures
3) Configuration Tool memory should be increased if your BSV is large
4) The rest is Aware IM Server - all other issues related to the application performance, such as rule processing, database operations etc etc etc. The Aware IM Server is the most important component and you should give it as much memory as your server allows

Multi-processing capabilities depend on the version of Java used. You can run Aware IM with any Java version, including 64-bit. It's very easy to replace the built-in Java version with the version of your choice. We have no plans yet to integrate 64-bit out-of-the-box just yet.

I'm running the application with connection to a MS SQL server 2008, and on that server there are a number of other databases and all are working just fine.

Would you be able to post the error message when attempting to put the bsv into test mode? Now that the memory settings have been adjusted I would get the messages are different than the original log4j messages.

The 'indexed' is probably not the cause, I remember some weird error I was getting a while back when this was checked.

Why are your Tomcat & JBoss memory settings so high? Just seems a little excessive IMO.

Mmm. I've now got the exact same thing. Looks like something has crept into the later versions. I did change an index today which I reset as that caused an issue. maybe it's the index issue.

Were you able to overcome this problem thobiasg?

Hi,

I am also getting this error when trying to put business space under test or publish. It doesn't do it in all my business spaces though. Some are running the same configuration and one will go in test whilst another will not.

Does anyone have any further ideas? This is stopping me from updating some of my business spaces with the latest version of my configuration.

I think I may have solved this one (I hope!) I think it was a memory issue for me.

The problem is that I can't click on the view button in the Control Panel for Aware Im. It is not highlighted.
There is a line that says that Aware Im can not start sinc another server is started.......

Which means that your Aware IM Server has't been started properly in the first place. You cannot work with the Configuration Tool if the Aware IM Control Panel says that something is wrong. You need to shutdown and restart Aware IM. If it still doesn't start, reboot the machine.

You shouldn't leave the server to hybernate - it must be running at all times or you need to restart it. Every time you start working in the Config. Tool make sure that the server is running properly.
