Can't put the version UNDER TEST

I have tried everything but it still doesn't work.

I am running the AwareIm as services and I have restarted all 3 in correct order.

The funny thing is that my application is working and is fine from a user point of view.....

If you are running Aware IM as a service then the output of the components should be in the wrapper.log files located under AwareIM/bin for the Aware IM server and somewhere under AwareIM/Tomcat and AwareIM/JBoss folders (search for wrapper.log inside these folders).

I also get this. Since I moved to SQL Server it happens much less, than when running against derby. When I was running 64bit it never happened, but had to jump back to 32bit a Aware IM has problems with MS word doc templates in 64bit. I now do exports after every change. I got this 2 nights ago - I feel your pain.

This problem has reared its ugly head again for me 🙁 and im dead in the water!

When I try to put a version under test I get the following error:

'Exception: Aware IM server is not responding. Please make sure that the server is running'

The BSV I'm trying to put under test is quite large (2 or 3 times bigger that CRM Sample I would say). I don't have problems with smaller ones. I wondering if this is a memory issue again? Can anyone advise on my memory settings and if they are suitable:

Aware Server:1024mb
JBoss:300mb
Tomcat:300mb
Config Tool: 300mb

Is setting memory to, say, 300 acceptable or should it be 256?

I need to stay below 2gb for all four components as I'm running 32bit Java. I would like to allocate more memory and upgrade to 64bit java if it solves my problem but am I right in thinking that 64bit java will cause problems with document templates?

When I don't get this error it takes about 20mins to put a version under test....very frustrating and slow progress.

I am running MySQL 5.1 and Aware 5.6 build 1671

I have sent logs to support.

Its probably the MySQL problem.

I had a similar issue when I upgraded to MySQL 5.6.

I upped the memory to the config tool and all was ok for a while then I started getting th same problem again. So I updated to _AwareIM 5.7 and installed 64-bit java so I could up memory settings some more. Once again all has been fine for a while and I have now started getting this error again. I haven't made a huge amount of changes to my configuration so it's not because it's growing in size rapidly.

Support are now looking into this for me and I will report back their findings.

Rennur, if I update MySQL to 5.5 are there any special requirements / steps I should worry about? (Of course I will back up everything before I start!) but is it just a case of Back up, install MySQL 5.5, restore data and then start awareIM again?

Hi All,

Just thought that I would report back on this issue in case it helps anyone else out.

I went ahead and upgraded MySQL to 5.5 and the problems went away. I can now export BSV's, publish and test without getting the 'make sure awareim server is running' error.
