This is a question for the UI expert (John & others 🙂 )
Basically Aware development is more like being a server side developer. I've done this for several years with ASP.Net where the framework and third party like Kendo do all the heavyweight UI lifting. Aware does more so than any other product to get you up and running quickly. But that come with the price of being boxed in.

My question to those "HTML/CSS/JS/jQuery" expert is, do you think it's worth the investment to become good/expert in the UI framework (HTML/CSS/JS/jQuery ) to overcome this Boxed-in condition? DO you think a well-versed person in UI framework can make substantial UI improvement to Aware's look&feel?

Is it worth the time and resource or just live with what Aware offers out of the box?

Thanks in advance!

It really depends on if you can live with the OOTB functionality. For me, it was important to go beyond the out of the box to improve the user experience.

If you are living in the web app world and want invest the time, it seems that it would never hurt to have some front-end coding skills. At the very least, it will open up the door to getting a lot more mileage out of Kendo UI or other JS libraries you may want to leverage.

And if you don't, I'm always looking for more business. 🙂

This is my primary motivation. And sure, I can always opt in for professionals like you.
