I reject that this is a database issue. I do continue to have meltdown issues. Logs have been useless in pointing to a cause. It does seem that the server is under a heavy load, like maybe 50 concurrent users, but I've seen meltdowns at much lower usage. System resources are no problem. Frankly, it's unclear how much memory is allocated/consumed by Java resources (running as a service). I am extremely frustrated that this cannot be resolved. There is not point in adding a load balancer because the machine is practically asleep. Suddenly, the system simply stops responding with no errors, no clues, nothing worth a damn in the logs.
I am also looking for something that can restart my services (from a batch file) based on thresholds in the Java environment.
