If I shut the server down by clicking on the red X in the top right-hand corner of the Aware IM control panel (not the proper way to shut it down). I could do t 20 times and never have a problem with JBOSS.
If I shut down the server by clicking on the Shut Down Server button on the control panel and wait patiently for Aware IM, Tomcat and JBOSS to shut down completely and then click the red X I never have a problem
Here is the sequence that seems to cause the issue, start shutting down the server by clicking on the Shut Down Server button and then wait for Aware IM Server to say 'Process Finished', Tomcat to say 'Process Finished' and then JBOSS to say 'Process Finished'; NOW, before the icons in the Control panel have focus click on the red X in the right-hand corner of the Control Panel and shut down the server. 75% of the time I corrupt JBOSS and have to replace the folder.
So the temporary fix is easy...have patience and wait for the shut down process to complete entirely and you should not have a problem.
There must be something open (and or writing) between the control panel and a file in JBOSS between the 'Process Finished' and the Icons in the Control Panel having focus that is corrupted by the severing of the connection early. This however is just my 2 cents.
