Hi everyone,
Just to clarify - the free tier doesn’t have a time limit. It’s there so new users can get to know the product at their own pace without worrying about the clock running out.
In the past, we offered a time‑limited trial, but we found that many people couldn’t finish their evaluation before it expired. Life gets busy, and we were often processing requests for extensions or re‑downloads, which created some extra admin work.
We also learned that some of you were using the trial as a way to test against new releases. With the move to our subscription model, we wanted to make things more flexible - now you can turn your license on and off whenever you need it.
If you’d like to do some version testing in your own environment, try the Business tier subscription, and when you decide to upgrade and are on a legacy plan, we’ll credit your first month’s subscription towards that upgrade.
Hope this helps explain the reasoning - and thanks for sharing your feedback, it really does help us shape the way we offer our tools.
