Hi everyone,
Inspired by the comparison table found on the AwareIM website, I decided to take it a step further. I expanded the original comparison between by adding WaveMaker, a platform that is commonly considered in the low-code/no-code space.
Each platform was evaluated based on a consistent set of features — such as backend logic, UI flexibility, extensibility, integration capabilities, hosting options, and more — with each cell rated using a simple 1 to 5 star system. I also added estimated yearly costs for a realistic setup (4 servers, 5 developers), and a description of the licensing model.
➡️ AwareIM came out looking very solid, especially in terms of UI freedom, backend logic flexibility, and its unique rule-based model. The pricing is also predictable and reasonable for mid-sized teams.
Of course, since the comparison started from AwareIM’s own feature table, the outcome may be slightly biased. Still, I tried to remain objective by using the same structure and criteria across all platforms, and I hope it will be useful to others facing similar platform decisions.
Feel free to comment or share your insights — especially if you’ve used multiple platforms and can help refine the evaluation further.
