Stop a form closing on save

I have a button defined in my Panel Operations as a 'Save Form' and the 'Close Form after save' option is not selected.
When I click the button, the form saves and closes, I would have expected it to stay open.

Is this correct and if so, is there any way I can prevent the form from closing?

How are you opening the form?

If you are using the started Create or Edit Operations sand you Save the form it should stay open. If you are calling it from a process, using ENTER NEW BOName or EDIT BOName then Save will always close the form.

I am calling it from an operation on a Query record. The operation is shown below:

I would expect the form to remain open on save as the close option is not selected.

Try changing it to a Modal Window and see if that works?
Where in v8 do you check off to leave the window open after save, I don't see it on the form? I'm still using v7

thanks, if I change it to a Modal window, it seems to work as I would expect and stays open. I guess this is a bug unless support can advise otherwise?

There is a checkbox in the Forms Panel Operations 'Save Form' see below:

Did it work in v7, I thought a popup window only stayed open once? A Modal window is fixed to the foreground so you can't click behind it until it is closed.

I think its the opposite, a popup window blocks all interaction with the background and a modal allows you to work in the background.

I will contact support an check if its a bug.
