AwareIM 8 Remote Config Tool Preview Issue

Hi all,

anyone had lucky trying to setup the new AwareIM 8 Configuration Tool, running remotely, and get the preview working?

This is what I normally get:

As I'm running my AwareIM server in another machine, the URL should be referencing the remote server and not local. Anyone know where I can change that?

Make sure that you set up WebServer property in the UIConfig.props file in the AwareIM/bin directory of the Configuration Tool:

WebServer = NameOfTheServer

This should be mentioned in the Installation Guide.

It IS mentioned, but mentioned right after the WINDOWS section, so perhaps some people skip over it.

I also had to change the WebServerPort, as my server is running on the default 80 port.

It looks very good and much more easier to work and test.

This may not be relevant to you issue but one I found by rereading a guide (looking for something else)

There is an additional line in7.1 that has to be added to force the launching of the browser pointed at the remote server.

It is at p452 of v7.1 user guide. This is missing from the installation guide. Haven't checked if this is applicable to v8 yet

OperationMode
The URL that will be used by the Configuration Tool to login into the Operation mode – see Logging into the Operation Mode.
