Hello everyone,

We are using Locale feature on 6 objects. In V6 version of the bsv, the query grid caption picked up locale value and displayed the same correctly in header section. But in V7, the grid caption is displayed as its original value and not getting converted to the value set in locale.

Please let us know whether it is a defect or is there any other way to ensure locale value is displayed as caption?

Exactly what is not converted? Can you attach screenshots?

Hi,

It is the Query grid header/title that is not picking the converted value from Locale in V7. In V6 bsv, the original object is 'Facility' but we applied locale feature and renamed it 'Field' due to a business requirement. Query header picks up 'Field' value and displays it in query header/title. We then simply converted V6 bsv to V7 leaving everything as it is. In V7, the query grid header/title displays original object name ie., 'Facility' instead of 'Field'. I have attached few screenshots for your reference. I am not able to attach screenshot of AIM7 query grid in UI but instead of 'Field', it displays 'Facility' (the original object name).

Thanks,

Have you tried to refresh the locale in version 7.0 and recreate the translation?

Also there were a few locale-related bugs fixed in 7.1, so ideally you need to update to the latest version

Hi - Actually we are on V7.1 Build 2238 only. All Locales were refreshed. But still the query header is not picking up the value from locale. Please take a look.

Thanks,

Hi Support team - We are on V7.1 Build 2240. The issue is still existing. We have refreshed and recreated the locale. The locale text is not copied into object query tab name and query panel header/title. Please investigate. We have a client currently being migrated to V7 from V6 and will need the fix, (if this is a defect) prior to going live during first week of June.

Hi Support team - To be more precise, the locale value is not working on a Query grid's header. The BO's original name is displayed instead of the value set for that BO in locale. I hope it is clear now. Let us know if you need any further clarification.

Hi Support,

In V8.1 Build 2457, Locale is not working on object's query grid header and on exported csv column header. Object's original name is getting displayed instead of locale name. Please see attached screenshot. It looks like a bug as it was not working in V7 or V7.1 also.

Seems to work for us.

Please describe all the steps required to reproduce the problem in your BSV

We have created 1 object ‘Hierarchy’ and 5 to 6 attributes. There are 2 locales which renames the object and its attributes when users from respective locales log into application.

Steps to reproduce:-

  1. Create 2 users and assign 1 locale each to them. User1 should be mapped to Locale1 and User2 to Locale2.
  2. In Locale1, Hierarchy object is named as ‘Hierarchy1’ and in Locale2, it is named as ‘Hierachy2’.
  3. Login as User1 and the Query button in Top bar displays ‘Hierachy1’ correctly.
  4. Click on the query button. You will see that the new tab header and grid header display ‘Hierarchy’, which is object name and not ‘Hierarchy1’ as defined in Locale1. Same happens with User2.
  5. Create a new Hierarchy record and click on export to csv utility button. You will see that the query column header labels are original attribute names and not picked from locale.

Let us know how it goes.
