Tool to control app activation (user leasing app)

Hello!

Im looking for a tool, or some way to help me limit the time on (days) in how the user access my app.

The app should be installed in their local server, so probably I wont be having access to it. I would like to have a key that changes every 30 days or so. So if they dont input the key, they wont be able to user it.

Anybody had tryed anything similar?

I want to use something like AwareIM uses. Some key generator. Every 30 days. So people can reach me to send a unique key.

Like having a key generator for an app in AwareIM.
Or maybe even have a key to unlock undefenetly.

How about having the app generate a key and then it emails it to you.
You then reply to the email with the right key in the subject line within... say... 24 hours and then have the app read it in via the SET options for verification.
Upon receiving a successful reply key then it sets up for another 30 days.

There are many ways to skin this cat, but word of caution, don't piss off potential clients by restricting them too hard. Hard to get a prospect, easy to lose... Take it easy and give them time.

Yes, Im trying to do somethings easy and friendly.

Here in Mexico, people that had thier servers on hosting companies are taking them down, and preffer to install them in their local offices. That restricts me in some point of having access to the app.

Now everyone wants to lease. no to pay the full product, they want to cut costs everywhere. Im a little disappointed. I have to do the same, but there is hardly a way to do it.

Also their servers are not always on line. Yes, not online. they prefer to use it locally only.

Sadly, but any way. Please keep contributing to this post and share your experience and files if posible.
