Configuration Tool in Linux Mint 18

I am finding the fonts in many of he dialogs, buttons and column headers etc are too large. Is there a way to scale these. Many don't have a tooltip for me to work out what the text is. Unfortunately the dialogs so not scale larger.

Is there a way for the fonts to be scaled smaller? Resolution of the screen is 1600x900

Have you changed the font size for the Visual Perspective?
