johntalbott My new laptop display runs at 3200 x 1800 dpi. Windows is supposed to scale apps that are not designed for high dpi to make them useable. Unfortunately, the AwareIM Control Panel and Config tool do not scale. The screens are so tiny that they are usable. This thread leads me to believe that in in order for Windows to scale AwareIM screens properly, it may require a change to the AwareIM application manifest. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/efd8958d-5442-4709-a783-46c301ecb3bc/windows-not-scaling-dpiaware-programs-on-3200-x-1800-screen?forum=w8itproappcompat Has anyone else run into this?
BenHayat John, I just checked my notebook Windows 10 setting for display and I have this setting and any software I run, even old apps, it shows properly.
intra Hi John, I too am in the same box, my new laptop supports a high dots per inch rate and the font used in the configuration tool is tiny!!! If you come across a solution that works in Linux i would be most interesetd.
JonP I also have a 3200 x 1800 display. I tried the application manifest approach shown below that sets dpiAware to false: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-fix-apps-that-look-small-on-high-dpi-and-high-resolution-displays/ It worked for the control panel (javaw.exe), but the configurator (java.exe) returned an error that my resolution needed to be at least 1024 x 768. Does anyone know a script for the manifest that will resolve this? My current fix is to throw in the towel and set my resolution to 1920 x 1080.
