Form Section Focus when opening from Process?

Hi Guys... Is there a way to specify the 'TAB FOCUS' or 'SECTION' when doing an View or an Edit from an Process? I know that if you open an object from a query using the standard edit that you can specify what section of the edit form must have focus when opening.
But I need to do this from an operation since I am not opening the object from a query but from a child object of his.

I couldn't find anything in the User Guide that shows this is possible? Any ideas?

No that's not possible. In a scenario that you don't want the other tabs to show for some reason, in the process you could set flags in LoggedinSystemUser that would be used to conditionally hide the other tabs.

I had to resort to this solution but I didn't like it, because users got confused when tabs where missing. Just like in a query, when we call a form in Edit/View with "USING" statement, we should also have an optional parameter to indicate the section to open first.

Thnx for the feedback Guys. I think this is essential and I would certainly use it alot. I want to show for instance all three tabs.. but want to focus on the middle one when opening the form from a certain place.

Be that as it may... I wonder if there is perhaps and Initialization Script that one can use to Set the TAB Focus when the form is initialized?

Let's hope John Sees this thread as it seems he is the expert among us on the JS/KENDO side 🙂

Would also like to be able to focus on a certain 'tab' (form section) when using a VIEW action in a process...

For example... we can:

VIEW Franchisee USING 'FZM Main'

Would like to

VIEW Franchisee USING 'FZM Main' FOCUS 'Agreements'
