Numeric entryfield value changes with mouse scroll wheel

I have a numeric entryfield in a form. If you type in the number and then scroll down using the scroller wheel on the mouse without moving to the next field it changes the value of the entryfield. Is there a way for me to prevent this from happening (other than beating users over the head when they don't move to the next field)?

Is this in V7? Is the numeric field a spinner control?

It's V6 and no, it's a normal entryfield, not a spinner box.

I have also checked a few different browsers. It acts the same across Chrome, Edge and Mozilla Firefox.

I don't enough about the V6 UI library to assist. Hopefully someone else will have some ideas.
