As support is gearing up to do the next update on the Mobile to support Phonegap functionality, I'd like to make one important suggestion that will not only give AwareIM a nice feature, but also gives us a great value to use.
Basically, most products that incorporate Phongap functionality into their products, they do it via user interaction, for example press a button to take picture or press a button to get Sat coordinates and etc.
My suggestion is (which I hope I get everyone's vote on that), not only to have those phongap function via user interaction, but more importantly, Aware should create a series of Actions/functions that can be called from process, that we as developers can create automated processes to call those actions automatically. For example, create a process where the process calls for Sat coordinates. Then have this process run every minute by scheduler. Now we have an automated process that the application can use the coordinates every x minutes. Now, let run this app, in the new cars info system where Android apps can be run.
There are many things that can be done via automated functions, like automated taking picture to store in DB, every few seconds, and other users in different part of the world can see the pictures being taken automatically.
All these can be done if Awaresoft gives us actions/functions that we can call from process. Let's take Aware's Mobile to the next level.
