VP with 3 content Panels. Want to control output

the 1st CP has a query. It has 2 Operations, edit and query of a child table.

I want the edit to be displayed in CP #2 (and I am doing that, by having the Target Panel set in the VP)

What I cant figure out how to do, is when I select the query operation, I want it displayed in the 3rd panel. Not sure how to do that.

I can't think of a traditional way to do that.

Option #1 - I have a resource scheduling BSV that has a bunch of queries beside each other. Screen shot:

You might be able to replace your query with two queries that sit beside each other in their own content panel. That way you can control the output of each control panel. From the user's point of view, they may not realize the two queries are not one because they can list. One of the queries can have really pared down info displayed so that basically it's just an operation that is performed when it's clicked by setting it as default.

Option #2 - The child query that you want to display in the 3rd panel could use criteria such as FIND Invoice WHERE Invoice.Customer=LoggedSystemUser.SelectedCustomer

This query would auto refresh when the process is executed by the user selecting the 2nd operation of query in panel #1.

The 2nd operation in the query in panel #1 would have a process something like this:

Customer as Process Input
1 rule: LoggedSystemUser.SelectedCustomer=Customer

I over simplified it. Here is what I have (and want)
A table VP with 3 panels, and 2 rows, the 3rd panel has colspan = 2
So, the screen has 2 rows, the top one has a left and right panel, the bottom is the full width

The top left panel is a customer query. When I select a customer, I want the customer form displayed next to it. (again, easy to do if I add a Edit Operation as a default and have the Target of panel 1 be panel 2.

But, in addition, I want to show all of the customer's transactions in a query below these 2 panels. I am sure others must have done something like this? Maybe? Possibly?

That helped a lot. However, what is the trick to get the customer form NOT to be a popup? Mine opens as a modal popup. (I am sure I missed a checkbox somewhere...)

In the process, use VIEW instead of EDIT

humm, I am using VIEW. I thought I copied your logic, but I must be doing something wrong since I still get a popup.
