Problem with VP on Android tablet

Hi,

I have an application which uses a standard Visual Perspective. I've set the setting 'Platform support' on 'Desktop and tablet.'
I have no problem on an Apple Ipad, not on a desktop, not on an Android phone, but on an Android table I get the following message when I try to login: 'No visual perspective defined for business space version'.

When I change (in the tablet's browser) the setting 'Ask for desktop version' it works fine.

Any clue where this message comes from??

Btw: I have the mobile option of Aware installed.

Android tablets are sometimes impossible to recognize from other mobile devices - there must be a separate thread about this somewhere. Please indicate the platform explicitly inside the URL.

Specify the platform in the URL? I can specify the perspective and/or mobile parameter, but I do not see and parameter for the platform.

Do you mean the perspective parameter?

Rob I believe, this is what Support was saying:

Say you have the following URL to use on Tablet, the last parameter, is the platform. Try something like this:

http://localhost:8080/AwareIM/logonOp.aw?domain=ABC&userName=Ben&password=password&testingMode=true&mobile=false&[b]mobile_platform=Tablet[/b]

I understand, but I do not know if a user uses a desktop or a tablet. Thats why I entered 'Desktop or tablet' in the VP.

But in case of an Android tablet I get the error message as described. iPad works fine, Android Phone does work, but Android tablet gives problems.

I understand! Hopefully this issue will be resolved in V7 with new library. That's if you can wait...

The parameter mobile_platform=Tablet needs to be a part of the URL that you offer to your tablet users. See other threads about the usage of the mobile_platform parameter
