Hi Support,

I have just updated build 2029 from 2023 and while importing the BSV got this unusual exception. please help

Adding one more point regarding above issue, Exception comes only when you Export from one machine and Import on other machine have same build (2029).

Other users also can have a try and confirm error here

I curious how you go about importing the BSV. There are a few ways to do it. I too develop on a local machine and then import to the server. While it's possible to just Update Version from the menu, I have adopted my methods to be as close to the default paradigm as possible. So on both the dev and production systems, I create a new major/minor version. Once I'm ready to publish, I import the new version from the dev machine to the NEW version on the production machine and put it into test. Then I publish. While I have no clue what might be causing your issue, it's critical that both system are in perfect sync.

Hi Kklosson,

I also follow similar pattern and always keep sync my local dev machine with prod server, this is first time I have such exception while importing BSV. Currently my BSV is under test only, not even published once. I tested while creating a new blank Business Space and importing with result same with Exception. Tomorrow I will be doing few more test to confirm this issue.

Are you using the latest build ? Have you got a chance to test export/import ?

Can you put some light on this, sorry but never heard of AUTO_DEPLOYMENT

Create a folder under C:\AwareIM called AUTO_DEPLOYMENT

When you have an updated bsv for your app, just place the new bsv (make sure it is same business space name) in the AUTO_DEPLOYMENT folder.

Then restart the AwareIM server.

Aware will automatically look in that folder and if there is a .bsv file there, it will import it into that Business Space.

That is how I do it all the time for my remote production server rather than importing and publishing via the Configurator.

Mark it worked !.

It import the BSV from the AUTO_DEPLOYMENT folder and published, Also with a one new minor version.

Thanks a lot for the very useful tip. As, it was first time I had faced this Exception while doing import/export and will still give some time in looking for the cause.
