Use of Create Document in 5.9

I have just upgraded to 5.9 from 5.7.
Under 5.7 a print button on a Query form allowed me to created a summary of BO's in the query. The most useful feature of this was to be able to multi-select the entries to be included in the report.
In 5.9 the report is always empty.
Any Ideas?
