PDF SIZE

Hello!

I have a AwareIm Document called "Quotes"
I created a PROCESS to "EXPORT" the document as a PDF file and works fine.

The only thing is that the document does not have a lot of grafics and the size is above 700KB this is too large for a almost no graphics document.

Is there a way to export with a lower resolution, or create the document with a smaller size. I will be creating a lot of documents and it will be a problem soon. thank you!

There are several command line pdf tools out there some of which have facilities to reduce the PDF size. In most cases, the document size will be reduced by 50 to 75 percent. I use a command line tool to merge several pdf documents after export and the same process will work for file reductions.

Any software in particular? Can you also manage the output directory?

I use PDF Tool Kit (pdftk).

First I create a folder for the LoggedIn user based on the userID. The folder is created in C:\awareim\tomcat\webapps\awareim\temp. This works because you can make a URL call to retrieve the resultant file. Then I export the files I need to this directory. Then I call pdftk to merge the documents into one. Then I call the file via a URL.
