Pop Up forms

All my pop up forms widths have increased to what seems to be the width of the main panel? I have always not specified a width and height for these forms but it seems I have to at least set a width now? Is that correct support or is this a bug?

Personally, I would consider that a feature.

If I have one attribute in a form that is the start of a process it now is the width of the screen? Looks terrible with one attribute in it. But I guess each to their own. My users would hate it. Main thing is that this has changed in this release so I will have to go through every form and set a width if it's a feature and not a bug.

Will wait on Support to answer before I start changing every form.

I agree it's a pain to retro fit in an already deployed app, but would it not be desirable behavior in general to default all forms to 100%, but allow devs to then specify a width? Or perhaps i misunderstand the problem?

Yep I agree with you Larson that this is probably the way to go. My issue is, apart from having to change all my forms, is that I don't know if this is what has now been decided or is it a bug? Only Support can answer but they haven't answered anyone's issues on 5.8 yet. So until they do I'll hold off spending the hours required to make the changes.

They are probably having a well earned rest but hopefully they start answering everyone soon.

Yes, the algorithm for the calculation of the default width and height for a popup form has changed in 5.8 (hopefully for the better)

Aware IM now uses available screen width and height (with some offset) to calculate default width and height, so that the form looks good in all resolutions.

Same problem here (upgrading from 4.9 to 5.9, b1908-).
I now need to specify the height of large forms to get scrollbars displayed. Otherwise some parts of large forms fall of the screen...

I liked the default sizing of forms in the previous Aware more 🙁

@Support: can you tell me where to find that "algorithm" for the default height calculation of pop-up's?
I would like to use the script-algoritm of the version before 5.8. (provided me a better behaviour then the upgraded script of 5.8+).
Can you tell we where to find this Javascript / EXTJS?
