Yeah, but who the hell wants to go back to using a stylus. The human finger is now the de-facto standard.
To be fair to AwareIM, when the first iPad came out it was simply an alternative to the underpowered and largely useless net books that were hitting the market. I don't think any of us expected them to become so powerful and so fast so quickly.
With new new A7 chip and 64 bit processing, Apple have once again raised the bar ( don't get me wrong- everyone else will now play catch up and one day someone might even go one better, but for the AIM team to focus on a stylus approach would be the biggest mistake they would ever make.
I think the point Rod was trying to make was that with better support for larger themes, buttons etc, there really is no need for a -less than fully functional - mobile add on. VP's could be developed for phones using the standard product.
At the end of the day, we compete on mobile phones (and tablets) with apps purchased from the various app stores and some of those apps can really fly, have great icons, buttons etc etc. Don't know about other countries but with 3G and now 4g, speed is no longer an issue so we no longer need to conserve bandwidth in the way that we used to.
But I'm conscious I'm polluting an otherwise excellent knowledge filled thread with stuff that should rightly be in a different place.
SUPPORT, can we please have a different forum topic for "the mobile debate"
