Plain Text with Diacritics - problem

Hello,

I have a form with 2 fields:

City = dropdown
CityTXT = plain text.

Field 1 contains diacritics (the data from this field was imported directly in MySQL DB). The diacritics are displayed correctly.

In BO rules exist a rule which runs like this: If field 1 is changed the field 2 is updated with the text from field 1.

In field 2 the updated text is not displayed correctly . The diacritics are replaced with ? signs.

This is a bug or I have to change something in my bsv file or in MySQL DB.
Anyone please help.

You need to make sure that everything in your system uses UTF-8 encoding. MySQL should be setup to use UTF-8. If you use any import files they must be encoded in UTF-8 etc,

The table is in utf-8

The imported data from CSV is displayed and saved with diacritics. The CSV file is saved with utf-8 encoding.

If we use data from fields with diacritics, in calculated fields, the diacritics are replaced with ? signs
So, some fields has diacritics, others not.

We have tried to add new data directly from AW and diacritics are also replaced with ? signs.
