Discovering web services

Trying to get the video sample working and I just get the hourglass displayed when I click on the discover button.

In the configtool log I get a java error it seems

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" NoClassDefFoundError : javax/xml/rpc/encoding/TypeMapping

Caused by java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.xml.rpc.encoding.TypeMapping

I have changed my webapp folder. Reading old posts there was a time when this did not work but its meant to have been fixed. Does anyone have web services working with a renamed web folder and if so are there any extra files to manually modify to get web services to work?

I have two installations. One where the web folder has not been changed and remains AwareIM. Discovering web services works ok there.

However on the installation where the folder is renamed it just gives the above error. So maybe there is another file to edit for web services?

This was fixed some time ago (there should be a forum post about this somewhere). You may still have an incorrect file AwareIM/bin/startupOptions.props

Try this:

Would be good to update to the latest build
Shutdown Aware IM
Delete AwareIM/bin/startupOptions.props
Restart Aware IM
Restore your memory settings
Try again
