Pop-up notification

Hey, I'm having trouble figuring this out. I want to have a notification every day 09:00 for the sales team. So I figured I would make a process (Message: DISPLAY_MESSAGE 'Meeting time') and then run a schedule at 09:00 every day that looked like this: If CURRENT_TIME='09:00' AND CURRENT_DATE>=17/07/2013 Then
Message but it doesn't seem to be working. What am I missing?

I think your issue maybe that the time may never be equal exactly to 9am. I would do something like if CURRENT_HOUR=9 and CURRENT_MINUTE >=0 or CURRENT_MINUTE <1 then do it. You may have an issue with it trying to do it more than once but you can resolve that by storing the timestamp of when it was last run and validating against that as well.

Hi,
I use current_time all the time in scheduled events with no issues. I'm not sure if you can use display_message in a scheduled event, you will have to experiment with it. You might have more luck with asynch.

In any case, the main reason that your rule isn't working is that it doesn't look like you have selected the users to display the message to.

SOLVED

Ah, Pete, your answer combined with a bit of sleep led me to the answer.

The Scheduled Rule was:

If CURRENT_TIME='09:00' AND CURRENT_DATE>=18/07/2013 Then
PowerHour

The PowerHour process:

If LoggedInSystemUser.AccessLevel='Consultant' Then
DISPLAY MESSAGE 'It is Power Hour.'

BUT THEN, I realised that in the visual perspective for the Consultant I needed to enable background processes. Seems to be running now 🙂
