Adding javascript to startup.html

Trying to add Flexslider to Aware to use as a image gallery. http://www.woothemes.com/flexslider/

We have the gallery working fine in a dummy html page in folder /Aware/

BUT when we try an integrate the same into Aware the gallery doesnt' show. Have tried adding it to a form and also a VP.

I think the problem is in this code we are adding to the startup.html file in the <head> section:

Is there any reason this shouldn't work? Is the "(window).load" incompatible with Aware and causing problems? Have also tried "(document).ready" but that also doesn't work. Any tips appreciated - tks.

I have no idea what this code snippet does. Doesn't look like a valid Javascript. You may need to look at the Javascript console to see if there are any error messages

Are you sure that you have included all of the references to the required .js files in the startup.html file?

I spend a good deal of time last year trying multiple way to get aware to open centered at a fixed width similar to Linkedin to eliminate scaling issue. Based on this, I do not believe you can add much to startup other than ref links in the header. It seems like the body is entirely overridden, when the page loads the EXT framework.

Pbrad, yes all links are correct as it works outside of aware in the HTML page.

Nlarson, I think you are right, there are limitations with what you can put in startup.html .... It would be great to be able to inject javascript into an individual page/vp/form or bsv rather than just startup.html, you could imagine a button on the form to allow this (I have no idea if this is feasible, just a conceptual idea).

FYI.. I would also very much like to centre align my business spaces, and generally more "responsive" design. So many users ask "what is all that space on the right of the screen?" To which I have no good answer.

Yes, centered and fixed width is a good start. I was able to shoehorn this using an iframe, but it's not perfect.

Responsive would rock. That said, I envision responsive being major work for Aware and us clients if handled form by form, query by query, etc. We would need tools to set some global defaults, then override them only as needed. Then again I'd love to see global default setting with local overrides in many areas such as form sizes, control widths, attribute column width in queries, etc.
