Query to query? (filter)

Hi all,
I have a BO "accounts" and a query in the left panel that lists these. I have a BO "transactions" that registers transaction and the account they belong to and i have BO transactions displayed through a query in the main panel. How can i filter so if the user press a icon on the left panel query, the main panel query displays transactions belonging to that particular account?

I have tried a couple of different approaches but can´t get it to work the way i want. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, i know about the option to have the account BO list the transaction BO (reference) and this works almost like i want it but there are some issues with this approach and i would much rather have a query on its own that i can filter through an icon (process?) in the left panel.
