Support for gmail in build 1644

Sending and receiving e-mails via gmail should now be supported in build 1644.

You can now specify whether your e-mail provider supports SSL and/or TLS.

For gmail you need to enable TLS for outgoing e-mails and SSL for incoming e-mails.

Gmail settings for outgoing e-mail:
Server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
TLS enabled: ticked

Gmail settings for incoming e-mail:
Server: pop.gmail.com
Port: 995
SSL enabled: ticked

Thanks support. Fantastic news. I have now started to play with it and can send and receive emails!

However I'm not sure what results I should be getting so can you tell me how it should be working. That is does it just import Unread email from the Inbox OR is it meant to sync all mail or all inbox mail?

It is not supposed to sync anything - it just allows reading e-mails

Sorry I probably didn't make myself clear. When I've used incoming email before I thought it would only import unread email? However I seem to be getting everything in my Gmail inbox both read AND unread. Just wanting to know if that's how it should work? Then again I may be wrong about how it worked prior to GMail.

This can be controlled by the settings of the e-mail server (gmail in this case). As far as I remember this is in the POP/IMAP gmail settings
