Here is a tip on displaying a/multiple RSS feeds directly inside an Aware IM app. The limitation is that the user of your Aware IM app cannot change his/her feeds themselves but you can use this service to display feeds you want to have in your app. You can display regular RSS feeds but also e.g. facebook, twitter feeds. You could possibly also use this e.g. for your app update history and things like that.
One idea is to create a RSS page with several RSS feeds and then the user could choose feeds through the Aware IM dashboard control options (se demo page below for example of how this might look).

This is only a workaround and i hope we will get a real RSS feed module in Aware IM in the future (like this one: http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/ext-4.0.0/examples/app/feed-viewer/feed-viewer.html)
