Hi All,

Looking for some insight on a few queries I have as am currently researching into awareim again as a cloud hosted option for multiple clients with different BSVs.

I first evaluated aware back in 2009 and its great to see how much its approved since then!

The data (operational/config) for ALL BSVs is stored in a single database, is it possible to generate a database for EACH BSV? I'd probably prefer this as opposed to all tables residing within a single db as customers might get edgy on this. Is there good reason for all bsv within the same db? This is more of thought when it comes to hosting multiple customers each having different BSVs from a single server.
Looking at backup and restore, if I need to resolve an issue with a particular BSV is it easy enough to restore from a backup a particular BSV rather than ALL BSVs? assume mysql admin tool and select the required tables with the relevant bsv reference? This could be a pain if there are lots of tables and is why a single database is preferred. I know this has been been discussed in depth on various forum posts but would appreciate some further insight on this.
The new charts look pretty cool, but is there a way to achieve a "drill down" to the source records behind a chart? the examples i have seen only show the calculated data with no option to further display source records. This would be a very powerful option but don't know if this could be achieved easily or at all?
For developer edition, has the upgrade approach of the runtime versions on customer sites been improved? This was a concern for me as it looked rather complicated to upgrade a runtime to a new awareim version (5.5. to 5.6)
Reporting. Are there any planned enhancements coming on the report designer?
Is there a way to formally request/vote on ideas for enhancement? I come from a salesforce.com background and this is handled really well but it seems patchy at awareim.
Insight into future roadmap? How open can awareim be on this?

I'm not really answering your questions as they are mostly meant for support and those that have experience in hosting multiple applications.

As far as I know this is the case. I would love too for each BSV to be in a separate database as some databases such as SQL Express have DB limits. These limits would then be applied to individual customers rather than to all hosted customers as would be the case now.
Yes again I agree that for restore and backup purposes separate DBs would be better.

Yep I find the runtime upgrade is not always simple and as yet have not handed that process over to a customer which to me would be the preferred approach.
To be honest I find the existing report designer adequate for most purposes and I would prefer that improvements in the above items and email are required first.
I agree that this would be good as although the enhancements that do come are always well received , I think that some important issues continue to be left behind. I don't know how at the moment priorities are determined. Maybe support can shed some light on this.
It would be fantastic if support gave us a list of what's coming and approximate timing.

So not really helpful for you I guess but maybe support can answers some of your questions. Also I would love feedback from those of us who currently host multiple applications.

Do you have one BSV for one server to overcome the above issues?
And what DB do you use?

Not at the moment, but this is on our roadmap
It is easy to backup just the tables that belong to a particular BSV - they all start with the name of the business space. Using a tool like Navicat you can easily backup and restore selected tables

Improvements are on the Road Map but not the highest priority
Just post your ideas on this forum. We make careful records of all threads that have ideas for improvements - they are one of the major sources for our TODO list
Some of the new features (not all) on our Road map include RTL support, integration with Outlook contacts, integration with Zoho. improvements in handling of existing databases, improvements in the mobile version

Exactly what kind of integration to Zoho is on the road map?

Adding/Editing documents inline
