Form crash!

Big issue it looks like with the latest release which I just installed. On some forms when you click on the SAVE button all buttons suddenly disappear plus the tool bar, menus etc!! CLOSE button seems ok.

I suspect its something to do with the change you made in this area for mobiles.

I will try and see if I can give you more detail but you might like to have a look at the area you changed.

I was about to post the same thing.

Build 1603
Like Rod, on form save It feels like AwareIM has skipped a step somewhere & crashes my form, the Visual Perspective tabs have diappeared, form heading gone & buttons gone.

I have a HTML save button & when I press it to save the form I get an error message:

<Object Name> has been changed by another user. Please get the latest version of the data and try again.

In Build 1602 the form saves fine but it takes 3 seconds in 1603 it takes 2 seconds then crashes.

Sorry can't give you anymore info. Have tried different things for about an hour now and none the wiser. You might need to issue a quick fix for this one when you find it as this version is basically unusable.

YES. We need a proper description of the bug - see the sticky message on the forum.

A BSV demonstrating the problem would be highly appreciated.

We cannot reproduce the problem. PLEASE send a proper description of the problem (see the sticky message) and the BSV.

We need two descriptions - one for disappearing buttons and one for "the object has been changed". It could be different problems.

Have you cleared the browser cache, by the way?

Clearing the cache did not fix the problem and it is NOT the mobile version.

For me on some forms when in edit mode not on all and you click the save button it actually saves the instance ok but then clears the screen of all buttons and toolbars, menus etc. It also looses the form size so scroll bars appear on the form. The app is then unuseable and you have to log off. You are not able to even go into another menu option.

I will try and reproduce in a small bsv.

Every detail can be important. So you need to describe EXACTLY what you are doing.

log in as admin
go to tab4
click search
use the add button to add an order
edit the order
go to lines tab
use the add new button to add a line to the order
then edit the line
click the save button and crash.

Still, no luck. We have done this multiple times and everything works properly.

What browser are you using?

We have checked and re-checked every change we made in build 1603 and we cannot see any error.

Would it be possible for you to make a video of what you are experiencing?

I have created a small bsv (emailed).

Note: All data created automatically on login

1. Click on the button "View Yards" which runs a query in a new tab
1. Click on the yard to view it
2. Save the form
3. Problem occurs and becomes unusable.

Re-Login again

Got to Standard>Search Objects and select Yard
Open it (Edit)
Click Save
Problem does not occur

So maybe its got to do with changes made to the tabs in visual perspective
