Query operations

I have found that placing applicability conditions on query operations dramatically slows down the query display. It appears to me that it is processing the rules for the BO for each instance? Support will be able to clarify though. It doesn't matter if the applicability condition is placed next to the item or above or below the item it still slows it down dramatically. This is the case if I use conditions based on SystemSettings or LoggedIn user. I remove the conditions but leave the operations and the query runs ok. I would expect there to be some delay but a query that takes 10 seconds jumps out to 90 seconds!

It should be slower, but not by that much - how many entries are you displaying there?

Around 5000.

Further investigation..... I think it may be something to do with the new applicability you can place on items above or below.

We can now place applicability conditions on operations that are placed above or below the grid. Previously we couldn't. This was an addition to V5.2 see below:

Applicability conditions for operations is available for operations on list

I'm just grabbing at straws here but as this was a change I thought it may be where the issue lies.

If you are displaying 5000 per page it's likely to be very slow - can you reduce this number?

Sorry it's only 99 per page as that is the maximum I thought. Its 5000 instances or rows. In other words 50 pages. Just to reiterate I have not changed anything but added new applicability conditions to some operations placed above the grid.

If you believe it's working as it should then I will redesign my app I guess and remove the conditions.

Not sure if anyone else has incurred this though.

Can you make it smaller than 99?
