Yesterday we had a test with 8 different laptops and we did some testing on an Aware app.
All laptops with IE 8 worked fine, but all (5) laptops with IE9 gave problems.
This is what we had:
- pick lists did not have scroll bars and other windows had problems with scrolling
- some (simple) windows did not show all attributes and sometime did show 'half' a window (something wrong with painting the windows)
- clicking a save button took 30 seconds, while the IE 8 performed the Save in a split second.
- logging out took 20 seconds or more
- huge memory consumption in the IE 9
- picklist did sometimes not show the first record.
We tried the compatibility mode of IE9, but that did not resolve the problem.
We tried Google Chrome and that browser had problems logging in, but after and 'F5' is does log in en works fine. Firefox works fine.
We monitored the server while (long) saving actions were performed, no problems there with CPU, memory of HD access.
Anyone who has problems here too? We use Aware 5.1.a, MySQL on a dualcore W2008 Server with 4GB RAM.
