Stop running script error

I receive the following IE error.

"Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive."

It happens when clicking the save button on a form when there are many child records. It doesn't happen all the time. If you click NO then the script typically finished completely updating all data.

Is there some setting that needs to be set to eliminate this error from appearing?

To disable the scripting time out error message follow the below steps.

Copy the following text and paste into a wordpad or notepad file.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Styles]
"MaxScriptStatements"=dword:30000000

Save the file as a .reg file. Then run the file. This action will make a new entry into the machine registry for Internet Explorer that will extend the time out allowed for scripting processes to run.
