How to retrieve password for a specific RegularUser instance

Hi,

I am using Aware IM build 4.8.

I have business requirement where I need to retrieve the password of a RegularUser object instance for some read only processing outside the Aware IM platform.

I tried making a Web Service call (XML over HTTP as in AJAX documentation) to retrieve the password; however the password attribute is returned as %BAS_PASSWORD% or something similar.
In the UI, I tried creating a process to retrieve the password. This did not help
I also tried writing a Java plugin and tried to retrieve the password. This was also of no use.

Can you please let me know how to achieve the same?
I am open to any option involving either XML over HTTP or Java plugin.

For good reasons, the password attribute is encrypted. Make an attribute like CLR-PASSWORD and copy the password attribute to it. If possible, it may be wise to copy the attribute, do what you want with it, then clear the copy.
