Derby to MySQL

Hi,

For the seemingly hundreth time on this forum - is it possible to migrate Derby to MySQL ?

I know that support were promising a utility going back quite a long time.

Please, someone tell me there is an easy way !

Sorry Peter. Export + Import is the only way.

Export will only export one table - isn't that correct ?

There are many tables in my database 🙁

You may want to look on the IBM website under the "Cloudscape Workbench"

I found this article which seems to provide a brief description on the tool
While it refers to migrating Derby to DB2, maybe somewhere within the DB2 utilities there's an option to go to other DBs

Hi,

I've been playing with RazorSQL which seems to have the ability to export from Derby to MySQL. I've gotten as far as exporting a .sql file but haven't managed to restore into the new database yet.

One difficulty is knowing which parts of the Derby database to export. The structure of the Derby database is completely new to me - and a bit baffling too.

I'll keep experimenting and report any success.

I have download the software called RazorSQL

I am able to connect the AwareIM BASDB and BASDTEST...

How do I copy the livedatabase from BASDB to the BASDTEST? Both table name are difference...

Anyone done that before...
