Strange entries in my console log

Can anyone give me a clue as to what might be gong on here? Every 60 seconds I get the following 4 entries in my console log (Aware). Nothing shows up in either the tomcat or jboss logs.

I have checked my Mail server logs. I have nothing coming in from these email addresses, and nothing waiting to go, nothing in any queue.

I have no scheduled processes trying to send mail, nothing n my outgoing mail file and nothing in the UNSENT_MAIL folder that could be being retried.

I don't know where else to look

Seems like the e-mail server that you are sending e-mails to doesn't accept your e-mails. You need to check with the providers of the service why.

What I don't understand is where they are emanating from. They trigger the log every 60 seconds EXACTLY - but neither I nor the system is sending any mail.

Don't get me wrong, the system DOES send mail - very successfully, but these 4 have been recurring for weeks, so I figure there must be a retry file somewhere that Aware is polling every 60 seconds. Maybe weeks ago a problem went unnoticed and something is stuck somewhere,

Any advice on the process/path that mail takes out of Aware would help me try to trace the rogue mail

Check the AwareIM/UNSENT_MAIL directory. If there is anything there, delete it.

Done that - same result. If it helps I just re-checked the numbers. the poll is every 5 minutes not 60 seconds as reported prevously

Just curious if you have tried rebooting your server.

Rather Bizarrly, I just received a test email in my own inbox where the schedule which triggered this particular test was deleted nearly 12 months ago.

and Tom, In answer to your question - yes, several times - but I'll do another restart later when the users have gone to bed. I have in the last couple of days published a new major version and haven't done a restart since then, but this recent incident with the 12 month old scheduled email has got me seriously worried as I'm now wondering what other old test stuff is being emailed out to my gliding colleagues

It's even got today's date on it - and I've just rechecked, there's DEFINITELY no schedule for sending this stuff out any more.

Not directly related to your problem, but FYI:

It may be overkill, but I include a BCC on all my outgoing emails. I send the BCC to an email account that serves as an archive of what has been sent.

I store the BCC email address in SystemSettings so it's optional and easily changed.
