Dear reader,
I'm a content user of AWARE Unlimited Version 4.7 (Build 1229). We run the product on a windows 2003 server version as a Service with SQL server database.
As i am a user in Holland, we use the date format: dd/mm/yyyy.
I have noticed a strange behaviour: I have added a date attribute to a BO and form, with date format "take from locale" and the locale format is dd/mm/yyyy.
When i entered or selected 29/03/2010 to 31/03/2010 and save the form the program subtracted -1 and registers this in the database 28/03/2010 to 30/03/2010.
I then started testing the date attribute by entering and saving all dates of months:
01/2010 ok
02/2010 ok
31/03/2010 not ok, also 28/03, 29/03,30/03 not ok, rest of month ok.
Entire month 04/2010 minus 1 registered
Entire month 05/2010 minus 1 registered
Entire month 06/2010 minus 1 registered
Entire month 07/2010 minus 1 registered
Entire month 08/2010 minus 1 registered
Entire month 09/2010 minus 1 registered
Entire month 10/2010 minus 1 registered
Month 11/2010 ok
Month 12/2010 ok
Fortunately I didn't get any RSI out of it. 🙂
It looks like a bug to me. Does somebody have the same experience? It would be a lot of work to correct this via business rule and it makes developing usefull applications difficult.
Any help in this would be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Jacco
