I have installed 4.8 over the top of 4.7 build 1246 and installed the new product key.
Aware IM runs as a service on Windows 2003 using MySQL. I have never had an issues before updating to a new version/build until now. Nothing has changed on the server except for AwareIM and all ports are available and are not blocked by the firewall.
When I start the Configuration Tool (Developer Client) and log on I get the following error:
Login error:Error establishing connection with the server. Unable to open TCP/IP socket for the server localhost on port 9000
Please make sure that port 9000 is unblocked.
Original exception is Connection refused: connect
When I check the Services the AwareIM service stops. I can restart it and try loggin on again but the service stops again with the same error message.
I have checked the System.log and Test.log and nothing indicates a problem.
If I stop the AwareIM service/Jboss/Tomcat services and run the AwareIM Control Panel, everything works and I can start and use the Configuration Tool (Developer Client) .
One thing I noticed with the Configuration Tool (Developer Client) is that when I run it as a service I don't get the listbox on the Business Space but when run from the Control Panel I get the listbox, a bit odd.
If more info/logs etc are needed I am happy to provide them.
