IE Session time out on guest process

I have a Link from another website with a Guest Login registration process. The process call looks something like this
http://..../---/logonGuest.aw?domain=vriedu&firstCommand=startProcess2,pEventRegistration_Workshop_Guest_Add,Events,8063
The process pEventRegistration_Workshop_Guest_Add has 3 steps and looks like
Step A: ENTER NEW EventRegistration WITH EventRegistration.Events=Events USING WorkshopRegistration
Step B: UPDATE EventRegistration
Step C: EDIT EventRegistration USING WorkshopConfirmation
When accessed from Chrome, FF, and Safari; the user is present with the modal registration form. When accessed from IE (mostly 8 but some reports come from IE 7) I get a browser message that says “The Session has timed out”.

The Guest Login perspective has banner, top bar, left, right, and status turned off. The Main frame is set to an empty page. The only thing that should appear is the WorkshopRegistration Form. This was originally working, but somewhere along the way it stopped.

Any ideas?

I didn't think it was the same thing - I originally started that thread, and I was thinking that was a "IFRAME" issue from embedding an aware form within an existing web page - but this instance doesn't necessary come from an IFRAME or even another website - I can paste that link in directly and I get the same thing.

I did try changing the settings to always allow Session cookies, but no luck. I am not sure about the p3p stuff. How would the guest login be different then a regular login - where a guest needs a p3p policy in order to work, but a regular login (within the same browser) does not.

Still, I read up on p3p policies.

just a little more information

this issue does not occur on IE7 - just IE8
I can resolve it by telling the user to clear their temporary internet files

Does away drop something when a user logins under the guest account?
