Why doesn't the Back button appear on forms after they have been initiated via a query on a visual perspective?

If I just run a query via a menu and then click on a object, the back button is presented on that form resulting in a return to the query display.

Are you used the standard "Edit" operation (and not via a process)?

When I use the Edit operation in the scenario you describes, it produces a Back button.

I found the reason why. My perspective "Target panel" for each of the queries is set to "Full Screen". If I change those values to New Tab with the "Always show tab" checked, it works properly. If I have the "Always show tab" unchecked then it gives me that same weired behavior.

Something must of changed because I don't recall this behavior a little while back.

Have you tried leaving the target blank?

Yep. When I do that, it displays the form right within the area where the query was originally presented. It is acting as though it is using the Content Pane for placement of the results. The back button appears, but the placement of the form is not acceptable.
