I recently got an iPad and have been doing a bit of playing around....don't know if it would be of any use to anyone but thought i would post my findings....
Generally i am able to use my awareIm app quite easily and it displays quite well, some of it i really like such as the iPad uses its dictionary when entering data, and its easy to move from one attribute to another using the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons on the iPad keypad. But there are a few annoying problems though.
I have been able to zoom in and out by being gentle. Placing my pinched finger and thumb gently against the screen and slowly seperating them and then gently lifting them off when the screen is steady. Once i am zoomed in, i can then gently drag the screen around to where i want. It does however quite randomly just drop out and im left with a pale blue screen. When this happens i just have to double tap the screen and my perspective reappears at normal zoom...for me to start again!
I am able to scroll lists on forms and also scroll up and down my VP. To do this i pinch my finger and thumb and place it against the screen wait a couple of seconds before moving up and down. Took a bit of practice to get right.
I am unable to upload documents from my iPad into my BS - the 'Choose File' button is greyed out as the iPad seemingly dosent alow any files to be taken from it. I can't open documents to view them on the ipad either as the iPad dosen't allow file downloads.
Eveything seems to load a bit slower aswel, compared with my PC on the same wifi connection. I havent yet tried it on the 3G connection but will post again if i do, i cant say that im expecting it to be quick in the slightest!
My conclusion is that i might use it to access my BS whilst out and about but only if i really need to!!
