Speed difference between service and exe

Hi,

I could be wrong but the recent speed increases that we are enjoying due to the javascript enhancements seem very much more prominent when running AwareIM from the console than when running it as a Windows Service. Is this just my imagination or could there be a difference? This is especially the case when the home screen presents a complex custom presentation.

PayPal issue should be fixed - will be in the next build but at this stage we don't know when it's going to be released ("soon" is the word).

As far as the service is concerned, I fail to understand what relevance it has to this issue. Are you comparing the same machine and Internet connection? The speed of the Internet connection could be a major factor.

Hi,

No rush on the PayPal issue, I just wanted to stay on top of it. I am running the business space in an http session until this gets resolved so no worries.

With respect to the speed comment, trust me I know only too well how many different factors affect performance. That is why I tried to couch it as a probable red herring. I thought that I would ask the question just in case the new javascript compression might work differently when run from the console rather than as a service. Obviously it was a stretch and the slowdown is no doubt related to other factors of which there are too many to mention.
