PDF file error

I have several documents of the document type "Report" in my application. As I understand it, they generate PDF files.

All seems to work fine on my Mac that's using Preview to look at PDF files. However, I'm getting Acrobat errors stating "Files does not begin with %PDF-" when I try to display them on a Windows machine that's using Acrobat as its helper appplication for .pdf files.

So far, all problems have been due to me. What am I doing wrong now?

do you save files on Mac and then transfer them to Windows or do you run Aware IM on Windows and it fails to work there?

(In the latter case - sometimes PDF problems occur when there is incompatibility between the version of Acrobat reader installed and the version of Internet Explorer. We have seen some weird problems with viewing PDF in IE when, for example, you upgrade to a new version of IE without upgrading the Acrobat Reader. These problems have nothing to do with Aware IM. Please also check if IE can display any other PDF files)
