Query Display

When running and displaying a query normally the query will start displaying from the top of the available area on the screen. I am curious if it is possible to display a query page header (in html or some other format) over the top of the query? Currently the query displays but there is nothing to describe to the user what the query results are related to or which page they are on (other than the small title that runs accross the top of the grid). I would rather not use a custom presentation because I like the idea of having the data in the grid format.

Does anyone have any tricks to make the query display more interesting and informative?

I have used a Visual Perspective with 2 content panels in a Vertical layout to do something like that.

The top content panel can include HTML and the bottom content panel includes the query.

Hi Tom,

That is a good thought. It will work for me in some situations but in others I might not have the ability to work in the visual perspective but display a query from a menu selection (or other possibilities). In those cases, I don't have the ability to use an upper section.

It would be great to display a query and be able to control the upper header, footer and sides in the query display results section of the configuration tool.

Ok...I had another thought. It is dissapointing that a large portion of the space is wasted because a query size cannot be dynamically sized to fit the Vertical size of the screen. I am using 1920 X 1200 and when I view aware apps that were created in 1024 x 768 I am viewing a huge white gap at the bottom of the screen...

So anyway, I had a thought. If a frame could automatically generate (that could determine the height and width of the current users screen) and the query was inside the frame and could anchor fully vertically and horizontally would that work (in theory) to accomplish a query covering the vertical height issue?

It would also be great to be able to control the frame by being able to control what displayed in the header, footer and sides.

Just riffing...if this is a crazy idea then sorry...I just hate to see space wasted (and generally a user will ask "Why is there a huge gap at the bottom" or "Why do I have to scroll to see the records at the bottom"...it's tough to win).
