Creating Emails

is it possible when I click on send a mailshot I can be prompted to enter the subject line to? At present I cannot find a way to do this....

I don't know of a way to be "prompted" for it, but you can collect it in a form & then use that info in an email.

I think you could have a non-persisted BO called EmailSubject with attribute Subject. In a process, you would create the new EmailSubject, then have another rule in the process that runs the outgoing email notification. The subject line in that outgoing email notification would use <<EmailSubject.subject>>

I cannot seem to make this work-

BO= EmailSubject
Attribute=EmailSubject

This is a mail shot so on the notification 'Mailshot' In te subject line I have put <<emailSubject.EmailSubject>> but on the email all I see is null on the subject line.

I have tried a proccess but again nothing just see 'null' in the subject line

???

Yes the CRM sample is where I took the idea from but cannot seam to make it work.

BO called - EmailSubject
Attribute - EmailSubject

On the 'Notifications' I have one called 'EmailShot' and in the subject line I have <<EmailSubject.EmailSubject>>

However when I send the email the Subject line say's 'null'? I have a form where I can enter in the subject line so the value is not 'null'?

Sounds like you might have a context issue. It's very hard to say without more details. If you have <<BoName.AttributeName>> for an in context BO in the subject of an email, it does work.

With the process you have described, <<EmailSubject.EmailSubject>> is not put into context. There is no way that your email notification would be able to use it.

ok so how would/does this work or how do I put this in context?

All I am trying to do is put in a subject line that will change every week with out having the need to update the BS!

I think I am losing the plot with this. I thought this was what I had done altough I am missing the process. I am not seeing the picture at the moment of what I need to do!
