Panels /Queries Data NOT presented properly!

I have a visual perspective that has 2 panels. Each panel has it's own query. I am seeing some strange things happen. I can login and hit the home icon on my application repeatedly and sometimes it displays the queries and sometimes it will replace the first query with the second query. Other times it will show the query without any data even though it should be presenting data.

I am guessing that this is related to the threading issue I have identified when I have a form that has multiple reference objects where sometimes the data in the reference objects doesn't appear on form painting.

This problem happens on not just my PC. This is becoming a huge problem for me because I don't have any reliability on what is being presented to the user!

Hi Tom,

I have been experiencing the same unusual functionality in some of the apps that I have made. Data seems to go from one grid to another or one application to another (Don't get me started on that one....)

It is very hard to pin down because it is all intermittant and different in every app. A good example is this:

I have a BO for COMPANY and it has a child of CONTACTS on the form for Company I display the contacts on a tab and I place the Company name (in a grid) above the Contacts reference list. Sometimes the company name is there and sometimes the grid is there but the data is not and other times the CONTACTS data is showing in the Company grid....THIS IS VERY SCARY and nothing that I would feel comfortable buying or showing to someone as there appears to be no way to control the unusual behavior. I work with 3 other guys that have been trying the software and we are all having the same "ghosts in the machine" behavior...it's kind of a shame because it does seem very promising. Hopefully the bugs getted worked out in the future.

Yes. This a big problem because I don't get reliable forms and now dashboards/queries.

I have confirmed that it is a problem in both IE 7 and Firefox 3.01. I don't believe it has anything to do with the browser. I can get IE 7 to fail easier then Firefox. Not sure why.

Also, I have just been testing interface version 4 & 3. I can get my view of information to corrupt on version 4 fairly easily. On version 3 of the interface, I can't seem to get it to fail. Not sure if it is an issue with version 4 only.

I think that the AwareIM product is a great tool! I have been using it for a short bit, but can see the huge potential. Once this issue gets resolved I will have a high confidence level in the product to use it enterprise wide.

Yes, we are aware of the problem and we are working on it. Unfortunately, it is the one that is extremely hard to fix because it cannot be reproduced reliably. It is specific to version 4.0 and is related to asynchronous AJAX requests being sent from different grids on the same page.

If anyone can more or less reliably reproduce the problem please send us the BSV - once we can reproduce it we can surely fix it!

Build 1134 is out now. In this build we found and fixed a definite threadding problem that is most likely responsible for the problem described here.

Please check out the new build and let us know if you are still experiencing problems

That seemed to do the job. I have confirmed that the problem is resolved with this build. I have tested a visual perspective and also when I have a form that has reference queries. All seems to be working!
