Fresh install of AwareIM with Oracle

I am testing AwareIM against an Oracle 11g database.

Heres the scenario:

I have a fresh installation of Win XP Pro
I installed Oracle 11g
I created BASDB and BASDBTEST in Oracle
I installed AwareIM demo version. Connection to Oracle as default DB successful.
I created the CRM business space.
I tried to test CRM
Resulting error was: "Exception changing status of the business space version null"

Other information: If I shutdown AwareIm after this and then restart the business space CRM seems deactivated. By this I mean all the icons are disabled in the config tool. I also have to load the version when restarting.

As for Oracleit seems to be running as I can load the EM and examine the database.

Any ideas appreciated.

Please have a look at the output of Aware IM server - there may be some clues there.

By the way, Oracle support is a special option that you need to purchase.

These log files are a bit confusing to me still. I will in time get to understand them.

Yes, I am aware 🙂 that I need to buy the Oracle support ... does that mean that my runtime version will not work at all until I have purchased this special option? I ask because when installing (even the demo version) it gives one the option of conecting to an Oracle database.

I also notice that the BASServer.prop files produced by the automatic installation (when Oracle) looks different to the Oracle template supplied (i.e. the one referred to in the installation guide).

No, the version will not work with Oracle unless you purchase this option.

What is the difference in the BASServer.props file? There shouldn't be any (unless there is a bug)
