Back Button behaviour from within a panel - problem

Sometimes when I edit a record inside a panel, after saving and then going to BACK, a complete new set of panels with tabs is brought into view.

So now there are a duplicate set of tabs and panels on the page

Is there a way to edit the Back button behaviour, as in this case the Back button is not behaving correctly when its initiated from within a Panel

Use of the Back button in the browser can be confusing to AwareIM, I have found, as it is unable to track the state of the application. Pressing the Back button simply moves the browser back to its stored image of the last page visited and the AwareIM application knows nothing about it.

This is a problem with the way web browsers and servers work.

I have resorted to actually turning off the menus and toolbars in my AwareIM application to force the users to use the AwareIM controls.

(Its been several months and the Client hasnt noticed yet...)
